Neubia L. Harris
Attorney
Neubia founded The Law Office of Neubia L. Harris, PLLC in August of 2018. She has extensive education law and civil litigation experience. Prior to founding the firm, Neubia worked as an Associate Attorney with a local education law firm , and as a Staff Attorney at Legal Aid of North Carolina. She launched her law practice to marry her passions of protecting children and being an entrepreneur.
Neubia received her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She received her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
Neubia is licensed to practice in the State Courts of North Carolina, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of North Carolina.
Neubia is actively involved with the North Carolina Bar Association ("NCBA") and the Wake County Bar Association ("WCBA"). In 2017, Neubia was one of only sixteen lawyers inducted into the NCBA's Leadership Academy. She has published several law review articles related to diversity, equity and inclusion and education rights. Neubia has also taught Continuing Legal Education courses to other attorneys, and frequently speaks in the community about education law related topics.
Neubia is a native of Wilmington, North Carolina. She is married to her loving (and very handsome) husband, Michael, and the mother of two angels. When Neubia is not working, she enjoys having adventure with her family and friends, traveling, reading and singing.
Allison Combs
North Carolina Certified Paralegal
Allison joined The Law Office of Neubia L. Harris, PLLC as Litigation Paralegal in September 2021. After earning a degree in Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, she worked as an early childhood educator for three years before pivoting into the realm of education law. Allison's work with diverse communities, time in the classroom, and empathy make her a compassionate asset to our team. In her spare time, Allison enjoys exploring the Triangle, cooking, and reading.
Charmaine Neves
Legal Assistant
Charmaine joined The Law Office of Neubia L. Harris, PLLC as an Administrative Assistant in March 2021. In 2024, she was promoted to a Legal Assistant. She brings 30 years of office administration and management experience to the firm. Charmaine utilizes her advanced skills in communication, business writing, office management, and coordination to ensure that the Firm runs like a well-oiled machine. She is passionate about human rights. In her spare time, Charmaine enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, and reading.
Kai (2012-2023)
Firm Mascot
Kai was a Pit-Lab mix. She was rescued before being dropped off at a shelter. Kai had a long and happy life. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge in April of 2023. We will cherish her memory, and keep her spirit alive with our zealous advocacy of our clients.
